Sheere Ng is a food writer and researcher with an interest in the intersections of food, immigration, and identity.

Her career in food writing began at Makansutra, a pioneer in celebrating Singapore street food with its guidebook series. In 2013, she left for Boston University to pursue a Master of Liberal Arts in Gastronomy. Upon graduation, she worked for various food-related organisations in the US, including as a researcher for the Museum of Food and Drink, an intern at the butcher shop, Dickson’s Farmstand, and a stagiaire at Fung Tu, a Chinese American restaurant in Manhattan.

She now runs a writing studio, In Plain Words, with Justin Zhuang.
